About me

JSC_2238_LoMy name is Jacinta Kal and I focus exclusively on translation from English to Dutch.

Why? Because it means I can concentrate all my efforts on these two languages, for a higher quality result.

I am a Qualified Member (MITI) of the ITI (Institute of Translation & Interpreting). As part of my ongoing professional development, I also visit a wide variety of workshops and presentations to keep up my knowledge of both English and Dutch.

I am also ISO 17100:2015 qualified.

Here are a few examples of the many projects I have been involved in:

  • Cannabis: articles about the medicinal uses of cannabis or drug laws are just a few examples
  • Railways: information leaflets for Dutch visitors and a railway rule book
  • Marketing: a wide range of product descriptions
  • Corporate documentation: handbooks for internal training purposes, corporate letters
  • Technical: several equipment and software manuals
  • Photography: the history and science of the art, and from the workings of a camera to the art of composition
  • Linguistics: scientific article about Latin linguistics and narratology
  • Pets: an information leaflet about keeping rabbits as pets

Some recent projects include:

  • Articles about medicinal uses of cannabis, the law surrounding cannabis, and growing methods.
  • Descriptions of touristic tours, museums and other places to visit.
